Hello Friends! I am officially in summer vacation mode and have been opting for play over work these days. It has left me with wide open spaces to explore, discover, and rediscover what brings me joy- which is perfect because I find my self most joyful in these warm months!

In the pursuit of what brings me joy in all aspects of my life I, of course, turn to my journal as an outlet of word dumping, intentional reflection, and automatic writing that lets the soul take the wheel. Its through the practice of writing that I can cut through my BS and find the common threads that are weaving this life of mine. It really is about getting back to basics.

Humans really love to complicate, overthink, and plow forward in life without much extra thought. We are over exposed to so many options its easy to disconnect from the simple pleasures and passions that align with us but maybe didn’t seem shiny enough in comparison to another’s. Or, maybe you’ve been hanging in the hustle side of life for so long you just haven’t had time to assess where you are in the NOW and what makes you happiest in the NOW.

So- I am sharing a couple of prompts to get you thinking about what basics you might be craving. To reflect on how your growth and journey may be changing what you need. If possible, practice automatic writing- this is the practice where without pre-thought you set pen to paper and let your soul write. I think your answers may surprise you a bit with this kind of writing!

Go grab your pen & paper and lets get to it …
